Challenge

LAUGFS Terminals Limited operates one of the largest Oil and Gas terminals in South East Asia. Being one of the upcoming Hubs cutting across multiple marine routes, LAUGFS aims to trade 30,000 MT’s within the next one year’s operation to the region. However, to do so the organization needed a centralized ERP focused on streamlining and digitalizing best practice oil and gas processes. Amalgamation of functional areas such as Financial, Material, Sales, Production and Plant where required so that the organization could run simple as well as transparently.

Solution

POTENZA Implemented an end-to-end full ERP Cycle of SAP with the inclusion of modules such as Finance, Material Management, Sales and Distribution, Production Planning and Plant Maintenance. The implementation also included a comprehensive integration to the Terminal Management System (TMS) where direct operational control of the Terminal resided (valve opening & closing…. etc.)

With the proper implementation of SAP for Terminals, the organization was able to optimize their entire operation as most of the manual tasks of running the terminal was completely taken away. Initially the organization envisioned for 60 full time staff members to take over the operations of the organization. However, with POTENZA’s strategic efforts and consulting we ensured that with the proper implementation of SAP and its integration to the TMS the organization can manage with 13 dedicated staff instead of the 60 envisioned at the start. We were also able to integrate together with the Gas down streaming operation as well as the gas purchasing operation in Dubai to provide even further transparency to the terminals operation.
