Challenge
Grand Royal Group (GRG) which is owned by the International Beverages Trading Company Group is a major Myanmar-based beverage manufacturing company that possesses 80% of Myanmar’s domestic whiskey market, with a revenue of US$100 million.
GRG’s Operation had accumulated significant amounts of Data which the organization struggled to make meaningful sense as well as not being able to take key business decisions utilizing the relevant data. Whilst Engaging with GRG, POTENZA saw a key area’s where the organization could harness the sheer volumes of data not only to take meaningful business decisions but to also predict and prescribe relevant business trends as well as future results
Solution
We created a comprehensive Data Warehouse within the organization where massive amounts of structured and unstructured data was meaningfully and logically segregated. The Data Warehouse was also structured in a way that enabled business users to withdraw data seamlessly when required.
We also created meaningful business dashboards as well as other key visualization layers for operational, tactical and strategic stakeholders within the organization using Microsoft Power BI – enabling them to make effective and efficient business decisions.
Impact
Our Data Scientists also created bespoke Mathematical Algorithms and Models to predict relevant KPI’s to bring forth more predictability towards the business, hence making initiatives more proactive than reactive
Within 6 Months of Engaging with the Organization, POTENZA was able to create and provide a platform to logically store all business and operational Data, as well as creating multiple dashboards to measure business performance across multiple functions of the business. POTENZA’s Pro Agnostic approach on engagements ensured that the customer adopted their already existing Microsoft Power BI Licenses to gain more transparency through be-spoke dashboards rather than spending significant amounts on an alternative technology.
Through POTENZA’s Engagement, GRG managed to create a Data Driven Culture within the organization where decisions and strategies were made in reflection of real-life data which now came to life through multiple means of Data Analytics implemented within the organization.
